More than a house, a home for Maria Luisa.

Three years ago, the husband departed with the hope of achieving the American dream, embarking on a dangerous journey to the United States illegally. Unfortunately, his journey ended in tragedy. According to news that reached the family’s ears, he was murdered in Mexico, although the exact circumstances of his death remain a painful mystery.

Today, his wife Maria faces life with admirable strength, raising their six children. Among them are three little ones, including a pair of twins whose innocence brightens the difficult days. Two of their older children have had to work far from home to support the family, and one of them is about to get married, carrying both the hope and the responsibility of a better future.

The eldest daughter, barely 21 years old, carries a new life in her womb, the result of her relationship, although she is not yet married. This young family finds refuge in a humble wooden house, built by one of the older brothers with effort and dedication. Although he works in the capital as a security guard, his sacrifice allows his mother and siblings to have a roof over their heads.

The father’s absence is felt in every corner, but the love and resilience of this family are the pillars that keep them united, fighting every day for a more hopeful tomorrow.

Today thanks to Harvest Christian Center Church they have a concrete block house, with a concrete floor and tin roof, complete with a bathroom.
