REYNOLDS FAMILY ON ASSIGNMENT/GUATEMALA
GREETINGS FAMILY AND FRIENDS
As many of you know we had started building a security wall around the mission house last year. Still not done, but close! There is one section where the rebar is still exposed…so, yes, we were broken into…the thief did not get much but it is the principle of the matter… and it is very easy to become angry, because we have been trespassed against. So, once again, God tests our hearts…are we holding on to things? Isn’t He our vindicator? We are reminded of the awesome “Pineapple story” told by Otto Koning. Our kids grew up on these stories, they could probably tell them better than Otto Koning himself. The stories revolve around everything belonging to God, why do we hold so tight to things and get so offended if He allows someone else to have His things? I believe we need to be good stewards of the things He has placed in our care but to allow them to affect our character and witness should not happen. Once again it is all about the attitude of the heart!
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 2:19-21
KIRKSVILLE MISSOURI MEDICAL TEAM
If you follow us on Facebook or check our website periodically www.crosscommission.org you know all about our 3rd team of the year. A medical team from Kirksville Missouri led by Dr. Melody Stocks came. They attended to 400 patients in 3 ½ days, they were amazing. There was also a carpenter on the team who was able to help out with several projects that needed to be done in the clinic buildings. A huge thank you goes out to all of them for their selfless love and servanthood.
WELCOME JESSIE TERRY
We also welcome a young lady Jessie Terry from Arkansas, recently graduated from high school. She will be with us for 7 weeks helping in the youth center. She has felt a call to missions so this is her first step in her call. Thank you for being obedient to the call of God on your life, Jessie.
We are preparing for our next team also from Kirksville Missouri and a group that returns each year. We are so thankful for relationships that continue to grow each year.
ELECTRICITY…WHO NEEDS IT?
Also, if you have had a hard time reaching us please know our electricity has been at half power for almost a month now, as well as a large section of time the power was out all over town. Thus, no internet, phone etc. …as they say here SABER…who knows why…
As it turns out…electricity is a very nice convenience to have…we enjoy it…thank you Lord for the blessing…
Love you all and thank you for your investment in Guatemala and our lives
Matthew 2:21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
We love you all so much~
