GREETINGS FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Philippians 2:14 – 15
Do all things without grumbling or questioning that you may be blameless and innocent children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.
If there has ever been a time in history that we have been in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation it is now. But as the world gets darker we need to become brighter lights. We need to be bursting through the darkness with His light radiating from us.
Daniel 12:3 those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever.
Can I challenge you to look at your life and see what may be hindering you in shining? What may be dimming the light? Radiate Him, be a light set on a hill. May your presence, because of Him in you, dispel darkness, bring His light in to your home, school, work place, recreation and tasks of life.
Matthew 5:14 let your light shine, so they may see your good works and give God glory. Be that city set on a hill.
WE HAVE A NEW AIRMAN
We were able to attend Silas’ graduation from Air Force boot camp in San Antonio TX. It was a quick trip but we got to stay with our dear friends th
e Browns in Maypearl TX. Along with several days in San Antonio with Eli, Isaac & Bailey, and one of the cousins Mark. We are so proud of you Silas. He is now our 3rd son to go into the military.
DENNIS & JOAN SCHUETTE / STAN & CINDY HUBER
In February two couples came to work strictly on the mission house. It was so wonderful having them here, we have all been friends for 30 years!
They designed and started construction on the water tower, which will hold large tanks of water pumped up to them from the well, to have water in reserve. They also designed and oversaw the beginnings of the septic system and drain field. Their activities did not stop there as they also took a day trip into the villages we work in and installed two wood cook stoves. They taught four Bible studies and spent their evenings, (after working all day) at the Youth center interacting and hanging out with the kids. Thank you for coming and blessing our lives!
ARLENE & KAREN
Our next visitors were two ladies, one from Nova Scotia and one from New Jersey. They are very gifted and skilled in working with special needs children and training adults in adequately meeting the children’s needs. They observed at a special needs home and gave suggestions on better equipping the nannies to help the children. They also observed in a special needs school specifically in the deaf class room. They taught a sign language class each morning for our staff. We have numerous deaf young people that come into the Youth Center and our staff really have a desire to reach those young people for Jesus. So, the first steps are being taken. We are looking forward to Karen and Arlene’s return to further build on that foundation.
We are gearing up for seven more teams this year plus 3 young ladies coming for extended amounts of time during the summer for internships. Please be in prayer for these teams from all over the country that they will be Jesus’ hands and feet that they will serve in the love of Christ. And that they will truly be broken for the gospel. We are honored that they have chosen to come to serve our community and partner with us in the gospel.
The two medical clinics we have opened are growing and are a huge asset to those communities. Peter, our son-in-law (who is a doctor), is now traveling to the clinics once a week to supply support for the nurse and monitor and oversee more involved cases. Please keep this project in your prayers also as we want to touch their souls with the gospel not just helping them to get well.
We are blessed to have you support and walk with us in the mission the Father has put before us.
…I will make you as a light for the nations that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth. Isaiah 49:6
Be that light, where ever you are…
We love you all so much~
