REYNOLDS FAMILY ON ASSIGNMENT/GUATEMALA
GREETINGS FAMILY AND FRIENDS
I hesitate to write about this topic because it seems when you speak or write about something, you get to walk through it, to make sure you have it. John, spoke on hospitality once. We then received guests from “the underworld” they stayed with us 2 years. John says it was only a month…but anyways…
Count it all joy my brothers when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produce’s steadfastness and let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete lacking in nothing (James 1:2-4). Samson in Judges 14 kills a lion, that is a trial that we would not meet every day. He did not shrink back, he moved towards it and killed the lion with his bare hands. It was one of his many trials, steps that God used to prepare him for future battles. But I love the rest of the story. When he passes by that place at another time. He is rewarded with honey. A reward because of his past obedience. 1 Chronicles 11:22 speaks of Benaiah one of David’s mighty men. “He also went down and struck down a lion in a pit when snow had fallen…Really! Ok, I am not encouraging you to go out and kill physical lions, it is probably illegal. But I am encouraging you to embrace your trial, do not run from it. Go into the pit on a snowy day, sounds like a set up for failure. But see Gods reward, see His steadfastness become a part of your life. That you may lack in nothing.
WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO MEET…
We would like to introduce you to Michaella Peck from Missouri. She is with us for 3 months teaching English classes, helping in the Zona and the clinics. We are so excited to have her here with us. And excited to see what God will do in her. Thank you Michaella for your heart of servanthood.
The clinic is up and going! The building is not completely done, but the Lord is supplying. Our son-in-law Peter will be going to the area several times a month to consult and help with more involved cases than the nurse has the ability for.
Belinda, the twin who was severely malnourished, is now 4 months and weighs 7Lbs. such an answer to prayer thank you everyone for praying. please continue to pray for wisdom and favor in these villages. The needs are so vast.
Gearing up for 5 teams from June till September. We are so looking forward to see all God has planned in the team’s ministry to our area. And what God has planned in each life that will make the sacrifice to come. To embrace the things put before them as Gods plan for making them more steadfast in Him. It is so fulfilling to us to see lives changed for Jesus.
The Zona is growing, expanding and being challenged in greater ways in Jesus. Those of you who have been here know what an awesome staff we have Carlos and Kimmy and Deborah, Edgar, Loyda and Nancy. This year we have added Ruso a part timer and Abner full time. Please remember to pray for them that their hearts will continue to burn for the lost and yearn to disciple those entering into the kingdom. They are incredible leaders who love to serve Jesus…
Exciting times to be serving Jesus…
John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace, in the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world.
Embrace your lion-do not flee. He has overcome already that trial. He will be with you in the pit even if there is snow, even if it looks impossible. He has – did conquer death and the grave. Embrace your lion and be prepared for the honey.
We love you all so much~
